Well we normally don't get hurricanes usually in West by Gawd, but we sure do get the weather that sometimes comes along at the tail end. With Hurricane Ian hitting landfall earlier in the week in Florida and the southern states, I was sitting on my anxiety, watching the weather. (We have friends & family in Florida and the southern states.) So I was praying and hoping for everyone to be safe. But with the pending rain and miserable weather coming up the coast, I had to make a last minute decision to cancel going to the Blue Ridge Arts Fall Festival this Saturday. I was very much looking forward to going and was really disappointed. I hate having to cancel going to a show. But I had to think about my products and safety. It rained majority of the day. I know my booth would have been all wet, damp. Which, when you sell paper items, it's not a good mix. I hope that I can attend again next year. (And hope the dang weather is much better!)

But in a couple of weeks, I will be at the Shepherdstown Fairy Festival, for those that I missed this past weekend. I'm really hoping for good weather too. And I'll be decking out my canopy with all things fairy and fantasy! I will be dressing up too! If you're interested in attending, here is a link to the website for you to purchase your tickets.

Finally! Yesterday was the 1st day of Fall. And I have been waiting ever so patiently. Today a cold front moved in, and we are currently enjoying this beautiful weather. I have been ever so busy getting product made and ready for some upcoming festivals and craft shows. And then, I'll have to start thinking about the Christmas holidays. Gnomes are still popular, so expect to see some little helpers in my booth!
